EDITORS NOTES
Welcome to the Christmas edition of Telltales. This will be the last issue for 2011 and then Telltales will be issued bi-monthly commencing February 2012.
I would like to thank all those members who e-mailed or phoned me to congratulate me on being awarded Life Membership of Yachting Victoria. It was an unexpected honour and only made possible by those excellent members of the Trailable Yacht Division who have made my sojourn with Yachting Victoria most enjoyable.
To those of you who are travelling interstate over the Christmas/New Year period and towing your Noelex yachts, I wish you a safe journey. Remember to take it easy when on the road and take a break every couple of hours.
To those of you who may be competing in a regatta at your holiday destination, good luck and successful racing.
Once again, play it safe on the water and look after yourself and your crew. In particular, make sure that you are well protected from the powerful and damaging rays of the sun when on the water. Slip, slop, slap is the answer to sunburn and the chance of skin cancer at a later stage of life. Remember, burning from solar radiation usually takes place between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00 pm and can occur even though it is cloudy and overcast.
In conclusion may I wish you and your families a very Joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I look forward to keeping you informed of Association events throughout 2012.

Dear Members,
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the messages that have been sent to me and my fellow committee persons.
On behalf of the Committee’s of Management of the NYAA Inc. and the NYS Inc., may I wish each of you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to 2012 being a year of continued progression and improvement that will be of benefit to all members, wherever domiciled.
Pleaser, play it SAFE on both land and water during the Festive Season and return to us in the New Year in tip top condition.

The February BBQ is at the Burgess’s residence at Sunbury and will be held the week after the YV State Titles and two weeks prior to the Marlay Point O/N Race. Interstate members who will be participating in the Marlay Point regatta are welcome to park their boats at the Burgess’s, attend the BBQ and when ready proceed to Marlay Point. They have facilities to accommodate up to 12 NX’s on trailers with cars attached.
