  • Brooklyn
Situated about one hours drive north of Sydney on the F3 freeway. A four lane concrete ramp with incline of about 1:8. Two pontoon jetties are available in a totally protected basin. Facilities include toilets and plenty of parking. Also wash-down facilities and fish cleaning tables. Services available at Brooklyn town and marina within walking distance. No charges apply.
  • Appletree Bay
One km from Bobbin Head in the Kur-ing-gai National Park. Bobbin Head Road runs off the Pacific Hwy. An entrance fee is payable payable of $11 in 2012. The ramp is four lanes with a 1:8 gradient. It is in a well protected area with a jetty handy. Wash down and fish cleaning facilities are available along with toilets and a weekend kiosk. Other services are at Bobbin Head. A large parking area and being in a national park it should be reasonably secure.
  • Akuna Bay
About five km from the turnoff at Terry Hills along Mona Vale Rd. Entry fee payable on entry to the national park. Four lane concrete ramp about 1:8 incline. Good parking available but may be hard to find a spot on weekends. Some parking spaces may require unhitching the trailer. Totally protected waters with landing platform adjacent. Berths may be available at the marina for first night but for a moderate sum you may as well use the visitors berths to access the excellent facilities.   Then anchor in the small bay opposite overnight. This area should be reasonably secure as the adjacent marina accommodates luxury watercraft and is under  24hr surveillance. There is a small store and cafe.
  • Rowland Reserve
Two ramps each of four lanes and an incline of 1:7. There is a pontoon jetty between the ramps and a sandy beach available. Wash down facilities and toilets available. There is plenty of parking. Use of the ramp is free.  This is a handy ramp complex close to a lot of great sailing  and quiet anchorages but the parking is expensive; 2 days – $69.60. For full price list see here. Fees are payable by means of a ticket machine that takes a credit card. Usually plenty of room.  Extensive services available at the Mona Vale shopping centre a couple of km east. Mona Vale is the centre of a luxury and racing yacht-building industry so there is plenty of boating support around.
